The Gaza genocide has radicalized a lot of us rather quickly. We have seen in the crudest form what “liberal” values actually stand for – genocide, ethnic cleansing, imperialism, massive profit-taking, and repression — both internationally and abroad. And we have seen a face of advanced Capitalism it doesn’t even try to hide anymore — a world of billionaires flirting with fascism openly, literally plotting to carve up more of the world for their profit and enjoyment.
A case in point is the Gaza Reconstruction, Economic Acceleration and Transformation (GREAT) PLAN, which promises to create $320 billion in assets for its “stakeholders” – only after completing the ethnic cleansing of Gaza through more civilian slaughter and starvation.
The plan is based on the “Abraham Accords,” which have never been anything other than naked deal-making among autocrats, and involve all the same old scamsters – Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and international “stakeholders” brought together by Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner. Like the original Zionist venture or the East India Company, it is a corporation. To not put too fine a point on it, the “GREAT Trust” will be another colonial venture.
Colonized Gaza for “stakeholders”
Naturally, all the oligarchs will get their cut: security will be managed by mercenaries like GHF (currently slaughtering Palestinian food seekers) or Erik Prince; Israel will control logistics and flood the zone with settlers; the Saudis will create an “MBS Ring”; Gaza’s gas and oil will be exploited; the United States will get another colonial tax-free zone (the “Elon Musk Smart Manufacturing Zone” will be a private version); and the “Gaza Trump Riviera & Islands” will be open for business for you-know-who.
But why go on? Read this obscenity yourself. Whether half-serious plan, a mere provocation, or an oligarch’s wet dream, even with its countless misspellings the GREAT PLAN must be preserved and read, like a rare Gutenberg Bibel or an early Sefer Torah, as the Holy Scripture of Advanced Capitalism.
The GREAT PLAN is just one snapshot in a fat album from an oligarchic world we will all have to live in if we fail to destroy and replace Capitalism.
